Children have various needs during everyday emergencies, disasters, and pandemics. During these events, adults are needed to meet these children's needs, including both parents and caregivers and health care practitioners.

We aim to support subject matter experts in creating, collating and curating learning products to engage adults that care for children. Our process takes into account the diversity of our learners’ backgrounds, knowledge, interests, access to devices, and preferences of modalities. Because we know people learn in different ways, we strive to follow the principle to “always meet learners where they are” when creating educational products.

Below is an overview of tools and platforms we maintain to achieve this vision.

Rise

Rise is a web-based rapid development tool for creating learning modules quickly and efficiently with a narrow set of interactives. Vimeo and H5P allow us to develop sharable learning interactives that may be embedded on any webpage.

Storyline

We also collaborate with subject matter experts to create learning modules to help caregivers and practitioners prepare for the next emergency. Development tools like Storyline are ideal for creating immersive learning experiences to ensure caregivers and practitioners are prepared to protect against and prevent the next health threat.
