The Pediatric Pandemic Network is seeking community and critical access hospitals to participate in a research study aimed at enhancing pediatric surge planning.
What Participation Involves
- Survey: Participants will complete a brief survey (10-15 minutes) to assess your hospital’s baseline pediatric disaster readiness.
- Zoom Session: Following the survey, you will engage in a Zoom session with the study authors. This session will include a semi-structured qualitative interview to discuss barriers, challenges, and needs related to pediatric disaster readiness. This conversation will last approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.
- Collaborative Participation: After the interview, you will have the opportunity to join a pediatric disaster collaborative, which holds monthly sessions focused on pediatric surge, decontamination, family reunification, evacuation, and pediatric disaster advocacy.
- Follow-Up Surveys: Additional surveys will be distributed at 6-month and 1-year intervals to track progress.
Honorarium
Participants will receive a total honorarium of $550 to purchase pediatric-specific supplies, distributed as follows:
- $275 after the interview
- Additional $275 upon completion of the educational collaborative
